	2003. 9	Attorney Hiroyuki Morisaki was a presenter for the training course about intellectual property rights infringement cases for the 2003 APEC Intellectual Property Rights Course (JICA-based) Training held on September 29, 2003, sponsored by APEC.

	2003. 9	TMI summarized the amendments to the intellectual property related laws by the 156th Diet session in a memorandum “Amendments to Intellectual Property Laws by the 156th Diet Session”.

	2003. 4	TMI drafted the memorandum “Explanation of the 2002 Amendments to the Japanese Commercial Code (Basic Edition),” in Japanese and English and “Q&A about the Explanation of the 2002 Amendments to the Japanese Commercial Code” (in Japanese) for our clients.

	2003. 4	TMI held the seminar How can Chinese Companies Pursue Public Listing and Financing in Japan? on March 26, 2003 in Shanghai for Chinese companies, in collaboration with the Tokyo Stock Exchange, ChuoAoyama Audit Corporation, and PricewaterhouseCoopers China.

	2003. 3	Attorney Yoshihiko Fuchibe gave the seminar Strategic M&A Negotiations and Contract Drafting on March 29, 2003, sponsored by the Business Research Institute.

	2003. 2	To reflect the "pro-patent era," the government established the Industrial Property Council, an advisory panel to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, in order to discuss amendments to the current intellectual property laws. Following a number of sessions, it was unanimously agreed that the amendments would be implemented in the next fiscal year.
