2026年3月4日（水）、TMI東京オフィスにて Stanford Law School のCurtis Milhaupt教授のクラスの学生の皆さま（及び同校グローバルプログラムのDiego Zambrano副学長とアシスタントの方々）をお迎えし、同校のグローバルプログラムを構成する特別講義を実施しました。

講義では、岩倉 正和 パートナー弁護士（一橋大学大学院法学研究科教授）および尾藤 正憲 パートナー弁護士が、弊事務所が買収者側を代理したJIP による東芝のTOB案件や、日本のTOBを題材とした仮想事例を用いて M&A 実務等について講義し、学生さん達との間で活発な意見交換が行われました。

On March 4, 2026, TMI’s Tokyo office welcomed students from Stanford Law School for a special lecture session  in SLS’s Global Program.

Partners Masakazu Iwakura (Professor of Law at Hitotsubashi University, Graduate School of Law, Department of Business Law) and Masanori Bito spoke on M&A practice in Japan, using the tender offer for Toshiba by JIP (where TMI represented the acquirer)  as a case study, along with a hypothetical fact pattern inspired by Japanese tender offer (TOB) practice.  
After the formal presentation, an active and engaging discussion with the participants ensued.
