TMI総合法律事務所（所在地：東京都港区、代表：田中 克郎）は、このたび、古川 俊治 弁護士が、令和8年9月17日付でデジタル大臣、AI・デジタル改革推進担当、サイバー安全保障担当、コンテンツ戦略担当、内閣府特命担当大臣（知的財産戦略、科学技術政策、宇宙政策、人工知能戦略、海洋政策、サイバー安全保障）に就任しましたことをお知らせいたします。

古川弁護士は、1999年に弁護士登録し、同年TMI総合法律事務所に入所しました。2007年7月に参議院議員に初当選して以降、国政に携わっております。

※大臣在任中は、当事務所を休職することとなります。

– Appointment as Minister for Digital Transformation, Minister in Charge of AI and Digital Reform Promotion, Cybersecurity and Content Strategy, and Minister of State for Special Missions (Intellectual Property Strategy, Science and Technology Policy, Space Policy, Artificial Intelligence Strategy, Ocean Policy, and Cybersecurity) –

TMI Associates hereby announces that Attorney Toshiharu Furukawa has been appointed as Minister for Digital Transformation, Minister in Charge of AI and Digital Reform Promotion, Cybersecurity and Content Strategy, and Minister of State for Special Missions (Intellectual Property Strategy, Science and Technology Policy, Space Policy, Artificial Intelligence Strategy, Ocean Policy, and Cybersecurity), as of September 17, 2026.

Attorney Furukawa was admitted to the bar in 1999 and joined TMI Associates in the same year. He was first elected to the Senate (formerly referred to as the “House of Councillors”) in July 2007, and has been engaged in national politics ever since.

*He will suspend his legal practice at TMI Associates during his tenure as Minister.
