TMIは、2025年5月29日（木）、独立行政法人国立文化財機構 東京国立博物館（以下「東京国立博物館」）と、相互の連携および協力を推進するため、包括的連携に関する協定を締結いたしました。

■協定締結の背景と目的

東京国立博物館は、1872年に東京・湯島聖堂大成殿で開催された博覧会を契機として創設された、日本で最も長い歴史を持つ博物館です。これまで文化財の収集・保管・調査研究・修復・展示を通じて、文化の保護と継承に寄与してきました。
一方、TMIは1990年の創立以来、国内外で企業・団体・地域に密着した総合的なリーガルサービスを提供しており、文化・教育・公共との連携にも積極的に取り組んできました。
このたびの協定は、TMI代表・田中克郎と、東京国立博物館館長・藤原誠氏とのご縁を契機とし、両者が連携することで、文化と法律の接点を深めながら、社会の持続的な発展に貢献することを目的としています。

本協定に基づき、以下の事項について連携・協力を行います。

• 東京国立博物館の運営課題に関すること

• TMIの福利厚生に関すること

• その他、両者の協議による事項に関すること

TMI Associates Signs Comprehensive Collaboration Agreement with the Tokyo National Museum

On Thursday, May 29, 2025, TMI Associates (“TMI”) executed a comprehensive collaboration agreement with the Tokyo National Museum of the National Institutes for Cultural Heritage (the “Tokyo National Museum”) to promote mutual collaboration and cooperation.

Background and Purpose of the Agreement
The Tokyo National Museum, founded in 1872 following an exhibition held at the Taiseiden Hall of Yushima Seidō in Tokyo, is the oldest museum in Japan. Over the years, it has contributed to the protection and passing down of culture through the collection, preservation, research and study, restoration, and exhibition of cultural properties.
Since its establishment in 1990, TMI has been providing comprehensive legal services to corporations, organizations, and communities both in Japan and abroad, while also actively collaborating with cultural, educational, and public institutions.
The agreement was initiated through the connection between Katsuro Tanaka, Senior Managing Partner at TMI, and Makoto Fujiwara, Director of the Tokyo National Museum. By working together, the two parties aim to strengthen the ties between culture and law, and further contribute to the sustainable development of society.

Main Areas of Collaboration and Cooperation
Based on the agreement, the parties will collaborate and cooperate in the following areas:

• Matters related to the operational challenges of the Tokyo National Museum
• Matters related to TMI’s employee welfare programs
• Other matters as agreed upon by both parties
