2025年8月21日(木)、洛星高等学校（京都府京都市北区）の高校1年生13名が、東京研修プログラムの一環として、当事務所を訪問しました。
 
洛星高等学校では、3年前より東京大学や国会、霞が関の省庁、企業訪問などを含む東京研修を実施しています。本研修は、生徒が各分野で活躍するOBとの交流を通じて、文理選択を含む進路決定に向けて社会を広く知り、自らの生き方を模索することを目的としています。
今年も昨年に引き続き、洛星高等学校の卒業生である当事務所の弁護士2名が登壇し、自らのキャリアや弁護士という職業の魅力について紹介しました。

当日は、花本浩一郎弁護士と富田裕弁護士が、高校生にも分かりやすい形で当事務所の特徴や企業法務について説明しました。最近のコメの高騰を例に、価格カルテルの仕組みや競争法に関連する弁護士業務について具体的に解説しました。さらに、「弁護士として大切にしていることは何ですか」との質問に対しては、「依頼者との誠実なコミュニケーション」「法と良心に従い自らの頭で考える」といった姿勢を挙げ、当事務所として重視するクライアントファーストの理念に基づいた考え方を伝えました。プログラムの最後には所内ツアーを実施し、模擬法廷では宣誓文を読み上げる体験も行いました。

当事務所は、教育活動を通じて次世代を担う人材の育成に取り組み、社会の発展に貢献してまいります。

TMI Attorneys as Alumni of Rakusei High School Gave a Career Presentation to Students

On Thursday, August 21, 2025, 13 first-year students from Rakusei High School (Kita-ku, Kyoto) visited our firm as part of the school’s Tokyo Study Program.

For the past three years, Rakusei High School has participated in the Tokyo Study Program, including visits to institutions such as the University of Tokyo, the National Diet, government ministries in Kasumigaseki, and private companies. The program is designed to give students a broad understanding of society to help them make educational decisions (e.g., choosing between studying arts or sciences) and to explore their future career options, through interaction with the school’s alumni, including those active in various legal fields.
As in the previous year, two attorneys at our firm, as Rakusei High School graduates, gave a talk about their own career paths and the appeal of the legal profession.

Attorneys Koichiro Hanamoto and Yu Tomita explained our firm’s distinctive features and corporate legal practice in a way that was easy for high school students to understand. They discussed in detail the mechanisms of price cartels and scope of attorney work related to competition law, using the recent surge in rice prices as an example. When asked, “What do you value most as an attorney?” the presenters mentioned factors like “communicating honestly with clients” and “making independent decisions based on the law and one’s conscience,” conveying the client-first philosophy that our firm values. The program concluded with a tour of our Tokyo office, including a visit to our mock courtroom where the students experienced taking “an oath” aloud.

Our firm will continue to foster the next generation of talent through educational activities, and thereby contribute to the development of society.
