当事務所では北澤純一弁護士を本年9月1日付で顧問弁護士として迎えました。

皆さま、こんにちは。

私は1957年生まれです。1987年に才口千晴弁護士の下で弁護士業務に就き、1999年には自身で法律事務所を開設いたしましたが、期するところがあって2003年10月に裁判官に任官し、2022年６月に東京高等裁判所民事部部総括裁判官を最後に、定年退官いたしました。そして、同退官と同時に弁護士再登録をし、今般、ＴＭＩ総合法律事務所に顧問弁護士として入所させていただくことになりました。

この間、我が国の時代は昭和、平成、令和と変わり、未曾有の出来事が次々と発生し、個人や企業をとりまく社会生活は大きく変化いたしました。国際社会の変化に至っては、いうまでもないところであります。内外のこうした状況の中で生起する紛争も、総じて複雑困難となってきていますが、その核心には、変化に即して変えていかなくてはいけない事柄がある一方で、大切に護り育てるべきであって変えてはならない事柄がある、と考えられます。

当法律事務所の俊秀と力を合わせ、皆さまと共に、変えていかなくてはいけない事柄と変えてはならない事柄についてよく考えながら、これまでの約16年間の弁護士としての実務経験と約19年間の裁判官としての実務経験で培った法曹としての総合力をフルに発揮し、新しい問題についても積極的に取り組んで、皆さまの問題解決のお役に立てるようにして参ります。

Hello everyone.

I was born in 1957. I started working as an attorney at the law office of Mr. Chiharu Saiguchi, attorney-at-law, in 1987 and founded my own firm in 1999. However, I was determined to become a judge and commenced my career as a judge in October 2003. In June 2022, I retired from the office of Presiding Judge of the Civil Division, Tokyo High Court. I re-registered with the Tokyo Bar Association upon my retirement and now have joined TMI Associates as an advisor attorney.

During this time, Japan has moved from the Showa era to the Heisei era to the Reiwa era. Various unprecedented events have occurred, one after another, and the environment in which individuals and companies find themselves has significantly changed accordingly. It goes without saying that international society has also changed. Disputes arising in the circumstances inside and outside Japan have become complicated and difficult in general. Among the core points of such disputes, I believe that, while there are some practices that must be altered in accordance with these changes, there are also practices that should be carefully protected and must remain unchanged.

While deliberating together with the talented attorneys at TMI Associates about what must be changed and what must not be changed, I would like to assist in resolving issues by fully exerting my comprehensive strength as a legal professional, which I cultivated based on my practical experience as an attorney for about 16 years and as a judge for about 19 years, and also by actively tackling newly emerging issues.
