GUI Design Registration
On November 9, the Japan Patent Office (JPO) published its first GUI design registration under the Revised Design Act which was introduced in April, from among the 450 GUI design applications filed until October 1. The published GUI design registration is as follows:

Building/Interior Design Registrations
Last week, the JPO already announced its first building/interior design registrations below including Uniqlo’s “UNIQLO PARK” in Yokohama – for which Kashiwa Sato, a famous Creative Director, shaped the grand design, and Sou Fujimoto, a famous architect, supervised the project’s design.

Kashiwa Sato also performed design services for Kura Sushi, the second largest conveyor belt sushi restaurant chain in Japan, and Kura Sushi’s interior design of its global flagship restaurant in Asakusa district was registered as one of the first interior design registrations in Japan.
