In this issue, we provide a summary of the recent amendment to the Whistleblower Protection Act which will become effective in June 2022. The amendment expands the scope of a whistleblower who may be protected under the Act, and requires businesses to establish a system to handle whistleblowing complaints. It is advisable for employers to review their existing policies and practices for handling whistleblowing to ensure that they are compliant with the amended Act.
